Blue Ocean recently gave the KC Seals website a major update in all sections. The team at Blue Ocean worked side by side with the KC crew to update the website and make it much more informative, and easy to find specific information on the products they offer.
KC Seals has been supplying high performance seals to North America and overseas for over 20 years. We are located in Calgary, Alberta and are a family operated business. Through the years we’ve grown from distributing standard sealing products, such as O-Rings and strictly hydraulic sealing parts to now being a leader in seal manufacturing of complex plastic and elastomer parts.
CalgaryShinny.ca is collaborative concept between The Leesman Team and Blue Ocean Interactive to create an online community of hockey enthusiasts looking for local shinny hockey games. A place where people could sign up for free and post games as well as find out about all the local hockey and ice time happening in our city. Blue Ocean laced up and set to work creating a dynamic, intuitive and interactive site. Users can view games with a custom search by various criteria such as date and skill level, or register for their own account to post games. A newsletter rounds out the feature set to keep visitors appraised of all the on-ice action happening around the city.

About RV & Associates
In 2000 I started out my career as a lawyer during the technology boom working on contracts in the telecomm, technology and financial sectors.
I quickly developed a passion for procurement work because it was an area of practice where I could add value to the bottom line in a way more easily measured as compared to lawyering.
In 2004, I decided to specialize in procurement and strategic sourcing – working and going to school in the evenings, I earned an MBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University, graduating in 2008.
In 2009, I was given the opportunity to build the procurement and strategic sourcing function at a financial institution – a valuable learning experience.
During these several years, I earned my “procurement stripes” and in late 2011 - when the opportunity to become a procurement entrepreneur arose – I jumped at the chance to establish RVA.
Building on a combination of skills and hands-on experience as BOTH legal counsel and a procurement leader, I felt that I was able to provide a unique service offering.
2013 has been an amazing year for the Blue Ocean Interactive team. We really defined the words "teamwork" and "efficiency" this year as we developed and produced more custom websites, e-commerce engines and mobile apps than ever before. We put in a lot of hard work but we made sure we had fun doing it and it shows in our portfolio.
We want to thank each and every one of the people we have worked with this year! It has been a very exciting time working with you all and we look forward to continue to build our relationships and create new ones.
Time to enjoy a well deserved break!
We will be closed from December 23rd to December 27th for the holidays.
This year was busy from the start and has finished just the same. Plus, there is already lots of new project work being setup for the coming new year! So, we are going to enjoy our little break over the holidays and we hope you enjoy this time too with friends, family and loved ones, as we feel this is just as important as our work.
Again, thank you and Happy Holidays from the Blue Ocean Interactive Team!

Bin Brewing came to Blue Ocean with a six pack and a dream; to build a website that properly represented their home-grown prairie values and delicious micro-brewed beer. The Blue Ocean team cracked a cold one and set to delivering a unique new site with a corresponding special mobile-only version to make the site accessible across all platforms. To learn more about what Blue Ocean’s tasty web design go to the Calgary web design page.
When Bin Brewing set up their brewery in Swift Current, in the heart of the Canadian Prairies, they asked themselves:
• Why truck in barley and wheat, fresh berries and honey to make great beer when all of those things are grown right here?
• Why go to a manufacturer half way around the world for brewing equipment, when some of the best stuff is made in BC?
• Why get a packing line from somewhere else when we can get a better one from Alberta?
They got a water recycling and management system from a Regina-based company, their filtration system is from Niagara on the Lake...heck, they even bought actual grain bins from a manufacturer Winnipeg!
In fact, EVERYTHING in the Bin brewery was sourced in Canada. It's all Canadian because they believe this absolute truth: going local, supporting local business, building local economies makes us all strong, and when we're all strong, we're all successful.
