Mobile web design is all about tapping into the world of users who are performing tasks on the go, tapping their smartphones to get what they need or where they need to quickly and painlessly. Which is pretty much everyone these days!

Great mobile web design prioritizes ease of use so that actions can be completed with a click of a button and without having to squint to read the words or figure out how to exit out of a window. Simply put, good design combines both form and function to create a great user experience that delivers sought-after information without confusion.

For many of us, our smartphones are our lifelines to the world. Whether it’s accessing our email, checking in on news, social channels, clocking in our running mileage via an app or searching for a restaurant “near me” – turning to our phones to find answers is very much a reality. Thus, for individuals and businesses alike, having a mobile responsive website design is a must-have. As with all things though, there is both good and bad mobile web design.

To optimize the mobile experience for your website visitors, here are 3 tips that will ensure your users have a great experience with your brand rather than a ho-hum response. You want your web visitors to stay awhile, engage with your brand on a consistent basis and to convert into full fledged clients or consumers:

Your small business website is your online business card. These days, people take to the web to peruse what services are available and determine whether or not they want to do business with you based on your online presence. Your website oftentimes ends up being your introduction to potential clients who are seriously considering your products or services.

First question, do you even have a website? If not, creating one should be your next move. Remember however, that not all websites are created equally. There are great websites and there are also websites that drive people mad with too many pop ups, too much clutter, crappy navigation and all kinds of other annoyances. The latter is not the kind of website you want to build.

To create an awesome website, you’ll want to consider the following essential elements:

Google has unveiled a new feature which makes it easier for business owners to manage their Google listing right from the search results on desktop and on mobile. Previously, site owners would have to login to their Google My Business account to make changes to their listing including updating address info, contact info, and hours of operation as an example.

Now, Google has created a simple, easy to access business dashboard right in Google Search. The new feature enables you to simply search for your business on Google and from your business result you can then enhance your profile to update hours, location information, create a post, share pictures and more.
