Your Role:

You will be the point of contact that best understands your clients - you know their products and services - what is most profitable for them, you know why they are great, you know who they serve, you know what makes them tick. 

You coordinate with other specialists on our team to deliver superior search engine optimization, paid search, content marketing, email marketing, and social media activities. This accomplishes the end goal of increasing search rankings, site traffic, and ultimately, lead generation so they realize a return on their investment.  

Qualifications: 

• Your interpersonal and customer service skills effortlessly build relationships and help you manage customer expectations 
• You're adaptable and excel in a fast-paced work environment, previous agency experience is preferred 
• You have an excellent track record of managing dozens of accounts 
• Time management is a breeze 
• You are self-motivated and very organized 
• You have a Degree or Diploma in marketing, communications or a related area 
• 3+ years' experience in digital marketing  
• You aren't a specialist in one area but love all digital marketing 
• You can analyze results and strategize opportunities with the team and client 
• Familiar with paid search, SEO, WordPress, email marketing, social media 
• Fundamental knowledge of Google Analytics 
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills

Your Role:

• Ensure website designs adhere to the creative director's design direction while maintaining quality standards with the support of our technical director.  
• Create eye-catching, modern & best-in-class websites that are fast and user-friendly. 
• Build WordPress sites using provided custom designs and Theme builders such as Gutenberg, GeneratePress, Divi, and Elementor. 
• Support WordPress sites and complete change requests. 
• Working with Joomla CMS, Joomla experience is a bonus but not mandatory.  
• Implement white hat SEO best practices, including developing with optimal site speed.  
• Lead & take ownership of projects assigned and task other frontend and backend web developers as necessary. 
• Provide recommendations on the best functionality/plug-ins/solutions.  
• Work with internal teams and freelancers to ensure the website includes best practices in SEO, PPC, site speed, W3C compliance, accessibility, and responsiveness. 
• Perform QA pre-launch testing with team members and/or third-party developers to identify and/or address issues.  
• Proactively identify and notify regarding scope creep. 
• Quality assurance throughout the project, and in the end, you are proud that these websites have your final stamp of approval. 
• Launch multiple websites a month on time and within budget. 
• Maintain complete and accurate reports for all time and client activity in the Project Management System (Teamwork). 
• Manage the hosting environment by setting up dev sites with cPanel and WP Engine, launching sites, changing DNS, and proactively monitoring space usage. 
• Proactively communicate with the management team, informing and updating them regularly to ensure client expectations are being met.

Who Are You?

• You have a 3+ year track record of WordPress development within an agency, delivering projects on time and within budget. Preferably, you have experience in Joomla CMS as well.  
• You are proficient in working with Gutenberg, Generate Press and PageBuilders such as Oxygen, Divi and Elementor.  
• Proficient in CSS (SCSS, SASS and LESS) and Bootstrap.  
• Experience in PHP, Javascript and jQuery library is highly preferred.  
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, XD); Detail-oriented with a keen eye for aesthetics and consistency;  
• Experience with both print and digital design is preferred.  
• You have an eye for creativity and user experience.  
• You have the skills to break down complex tasks into simpler tasks.  
• You follow proven systems and relish using an online project management system to track every detail.  
• You recommend efficiencies so that projects run more smoothly, launching faster and more profitably. 
• You're adaptable and excel in a fast-paced work environment.   
• You embrace new technology and are excited to expand your skills/knowledge.  
• You love being challenged to solve a new problem.  
• You are a team player, always ready to help a co-worker. 
• You are a champion for clean code, code review and automated testing. 
• Have a portfolio showcasing relevant design work and creative ability.

• Cold calling
• Farming an extensive roster of previous clients
• Networking with businesses in Calgary area
• Utilizing LinkedIn / social media channels
• Qualifying incoming leads and taking them through the sales process
• Consistent, relentless driving toward sales objective of minimum 10-20 new contacts a month, resulting in multiple new clients a month
• Organized, follow up with and nurture leads
• Tracking activity and reporting KPI performance weekly
• Prospect, qualify, close, repeat
