Looking to give their web design a makeover, organizers for the annual Sport Chek Mother’s Day Run, Walk & Ride event in Calgary contacted our web development team. We are happy to announce that the new web design is up and running. We’ve created a custom website design that is easy to navigate and is mobile responsive such that web visitors can easily view the site on a desktop, smartphone or tablet. Event registration as a participant or as a volunteer can also be completed online. In addition, those wanting to donate pledges to participants can do so on the website and tax receipts for donations over $20 will be sent out accordingly.
Proceeds from this year’s event go to support Jumpstart and Calgary Health Trust. Jumpstart is a national charity committed to local communities that gives children from families in financial need, the chance to participate in sports and physical activity programs alongside their friends and neighbours.
Calgary Health Trust is the fundraising arm of Alberta Health Services in Calgary and receives and disburses philanthropic health care gifts and other funds across Calgary and the surrounding area. This year in particular, funds will go towards the redevelopment of the Foothills Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NCIU) to help give every infant a fighting chance to live the best life possible.
There are numerous prizes to be won and individual fundraising incentives for participants like Sport Chek, Oasis Wellness & Spa, and CF Chinook Centre gift cards. Those who raise over $2,500 in pledges have a chance to win airfare for 2 from WestJet. Early bird registration is now open (until Feb. 28) and children under the age of 4 are free. Those who register online before Feb. 28th are automatically entered to win 2 nights at Prestige Hotels & Resorts anywhere in BC.
